Should Cell Phones Be Used While Driving

Today millions of people in the United States use cell phones and many amongst them think that using cell phones while driving is fine. In reality, this is a very dangerous act that can even kill them.

A study conducted by Mr David Strayer, a professor in University of Utah in 2006 has indicated that cell phone usage by 25 years old drivers while driving actually ages them as their reaction time drops down to the level of 65 year old drivers! This often results in traffic snarls in major US cities and drivers who use cell phone while driving then take much longer to regain speed.

Today distraction caused by cell phone usage during driving kills about 4000 people in US and about 410,000 are injured every year. This is really a big number.

Using cell phone during driving is like putting a blindfold and then hoping for the best. When you mix some driving maneuvers while cruising your vehicle on a highway, you are just seconds away from a possible disaster.
Many states have yet not banned this practice and this leaves other drivers quite vulnerable to the drivers who are busy talking on their cell phone without giving any heed to the road.

Using you cell phone while driving is no a wise act. Many people in US value freedom and think that they can go on this way but they must understand that freedom comes with responsibility and they should act responsibly
